Should TV adverts have age ratings?

In my opinion I think that TV adverts should have an age rate because some adverts are very inappropriate. For example if a child is watching TV and a sex sell advert pops up or an advert that uses strong language or even adverts that promote junk food, these adverts will have a big influence in their life and it will be very easy to influence kids. This is very likely to do the same things as the adverts is promoting. These adverts are “making kids want what they don’t need” this statement is a fact because kids think they need what they see on the TV but they actually don’t. This has been increasing over the years. In today’s society kids are completely different from kids from the 19th century. Kids now are very unhealthy because they watch adverts that promote food. For example McDonalds are advertising a new burger and it is showing on the TV while a child is watching the child to most likely to ask to have it, plead until they get what they see. This puts a lot of pressure on the parents to respond to those need. Advertising is accused of being a factor in causing children’s obesity and also attracts bad actions for kids to make.

Facts: ages 12 and under: the amount of adverting aired during children’s programming should be limited to 10.5minutes per hour on weekends and 12 minutes per hour on weekdays: still more than for adults prim time.

My research has been shown that ageing is very important when it comes to adverts because

In my opinion I think that adverts should have an age rate, this is because children will not like to see a sexual adverts nor an emotional advert that literally breaks their heart, online or on their TV, adverts are usually played at different times for example perfumes that have sex sells are shown at night, about 10pm this is because children will be sleeping at that time. However there are adverts that show toys being promoted which comes at round when kids are awake for example at 8pm. In the morning there are adverts that are shown for just kids, uniform-wear this is because it is targeted at them.
